Newberry Trail Report – 02/25
NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via Pine Stump – 2/25 Look at all the sun. People enjoying the amazing day out!! <> NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA – 2/23 February 23, 2023 9:30 am We groomed to holland lake and to Rexton Tuesday night but did not groom last night as we had no new snow yesterday. We plan to groom all trails tonight. It is currently 12 degrees and snowing, we did receive about 3 inches of snow on Tuesday and have significant snow in todays forecast. Remember when you are on the side of a road always ride on the right side! Trail 9: did not groom last night but did groomed on Tuesday night. Logging operations are finished and county roads 415 and 422 are now being groomed but snow is still a bit thin. good. Trail 498: Not Groomed last night but was groomed Tuesday. Good. Trail 45: Not groomed last night. Fair. there is about 5 miles of dirt from skyline to camp 7 rd. There is logging on the trail shortly after you jump on Trail 45 just past the Logging museum off of M-123. There is also be logging about 3 miles North of Skyline Road off to the right. Please use extreme caution in these areas! Both portions are being plowed and could be bumpy or rutted. Very Good in spots Trial 9/2: Not groomed last night but groomed to Rexton on Tuesday night. Conditions being reported as fair. Thank you to all the team at the groomers barn who puts in countless hours to keep the system groomed and maintenance on the machines! Minus 5 degrees this morning under a cloudy sky. No new snow in the last 24 hrs. but we do have about 3 feet of snow on the ground so no worries...LOL. Here`s whats been happening since my last report a couple days ago......
No bad news...the machines have been running beautifully....Mother Nature has been cooperating perfectly....and our trails are EXCELLENT!!!!
The Falls trail #45, the Point trails #452 & #453 and the South trail #8 all fall into that catagory. The only blip on the radar is on the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 but it is only minor. Our section of trail #9 is still being plowed down from the Stump to the East branch of the Two Heart by the loggers. It is no big deal, just take trail #8 around instead of #9, just like the old days. Its a touch longer but you`re out there to enjoy the ride.....right? On the bright side, they are done up by Crisp Point but it will take us a couple trips to get that back in great shape.
Where is everybody?? Its been awful slow around here. COME ON U.P., You are missing out!!

9 degrees this morning and snowing. I picked up 5-6" of fresh snow on my deck from last night and it looks like its supposed to snow for the next couple of days too!!!
Our entire system was groomed yesterday and there`s only one way to describe it......EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, those of you who follow me know I don`t use that word very often, but I ain`t kiddin, it doesn`t get any better than this. The swamp south of town, the Falls trail, ALL of our low land trails are better than I`ve seen in a long time!!!!!
If you don`t have plans on gettin U.P. here.....make `em. It won`t last forever.
