MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County Sorva – 2/25 TRAIL REPORT, Saturday, February 25, 2023 8:00 a.m. TRAILS RECOVERING NICELY! Trails are grooming out nicely and in an overall good condition. Snow is still sugary in a few areas along with some icy inside corners developing throughout the day. Keep a close eye on trail conditions as you ride and stay right. Stay tuned for updates! New snow is producing good results. It will be a high traffic volume weekend so the trail will get rougher throughout the afternoon. The groomer is smoothing out the track at the Trenary Outhouse Classic in downtown Trenary this morning so the pushers will have a really fast and safe event! Blizzard Warnings have moved South to include Leelanau, Emmet, Cheboygan, Southeastn Chippewa, Mackinac Island/Bois Blanc, Beaver Island. Ice Storm Warnings have moved South to include Wexford, Missaukee, Oscoda, Alcona and Alpena Counties. Winter Weather Advisories now include Clare, Osceola Counties.
The warm line is farther South keeping higher totals North. Winds continue to pick up along with the snow tonight.
