KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 2/19 Okay…. We know…. We know…. This winter has been a hard one to forecast for the meteorologists for sure-but we are hoping they are right on this upcoming week like they were here in the Keweenaw for the early season storm and the Christmas storm! The entire UP could use some fresh snow! Nick Berendt (a frequent rider and supporter of the Keweenaw each season) and crew have been up riding this weekend and shared these photos and said, “Couldn’t be better” This is a time when most riders will realize despite the weather conditions the area has been dealt, area grooming operations have done the best they can with what they have. The Keweenaw Snowmobile Club, along with all UP clubs have been working around the clock trying to provide the best possible conditions on this busy holiday weekend! We've been busy setting up everything for tomorrow's Backcountry Village big event. Gates will open around 9am, ride out at 2pm, and the the freestyle show at 4pm. Come visit the Western UP Trail Reports booth just to the left of the stage.

Looks like Saturday is going to be the nicest day in the past 2 weeks, 20° and partly cloudy. So if you're coming up this weekend the trails are in very good shape and warmer temps.
