KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club – 2/18 All of our trails were groomed last night. Due to the snow conditions and problems with a couple of groomers, the results were not what we had hoped for. The moguls still exist in some areas, along with hard packed/icy surfaces. We rode the trail system yesterday and had a good time. We found it to be very rideable. Hopefully we get some new snow this week. It sure would help our groomers navigate those icy hills! Think snow! Happy trails! These pics were taken on Trail 13 East. It was a late night for groomer Jon, and his rescuer Kurt. They got the job done without any bodily and/or equipment damage! We've been busy setting up everything for tomorrow's Backcountry Village big event. Gates will open around 9am, ride out at 2pm, and the the freestyle show at 4pm. Come visit the Western UP Trail Reports booth just to the left of the stage.

Looks like Saturday is going to be the nicest day in the past 2 weeks, 20° and partly cloudy. So if you're coming up this weekend the trails are in very good shape and warmer temps.
