Ishpeming Area Trail Report – Country Village Resort – 12/22

Hello All,

I hope to have gotten my e-mail issues resolved and should be
back to getting you updates on a nearly weekly basis. Now onto
the report:

Weather has been cold. We have been getting snow slowly but only
one big storm so far. One more decent storm and we should be fully
groomed throughout the area.

Trails: The trails have a decent amount of snow but some trails
remain ungroomed due to a limited amount of snow. Currently in
Ishpeming the Clowry trail is groomed along with a few other
areas but not all the trails have been groomed yet. Riding is
definately possible just don’t expect groomed trails throughout
at this point.

News: We have a new trail to our east which can serve as an
alternative to trail 8. Give it a ride when your in the area, its
a nice trail. The Moose Country Snowmobile club now has a groomer
parked on site in the Country Village so our spur is always the
first to be groomed when they go out/return. So you can literally
see the groomer leaving to go groom the trails from our parking
lot!

So basically it is ridable but until more snow falls we are not
fully groomed. I would suspect that by the end of the year we
will have enough snow. So get your reservations in early and come
and ride in Ishpeming and enjoy our great trail system.

Any questions, just let me know and Ill do my best to help.

Thanks and Happy Holidays to All of you!

Ryan

Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – Evert’s Snowmobile Rentals – 12/22

The snowmobile trails from TwinLakes to CopperHarbor are open, and groomers are out working on them. Trails are reported to be in poor to fair condition with some rocks. Trail usage should be done with care until we have better snow cover.
Remember to watch out for the groomers when you’re out on the trails…….they have the right of way!!

There is logging on a short portion of Trail 133 between Gay and Lac La Belle.

The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, please, drive safely. The signs on the snowmobile trails are there for the riders’ safety. Please, DO NOT remove or destroy these signs.
