Well folks, Spring is springing. Most of the snow in town is gone, only plow piles and mud remain as testament to winter’s passing. Ice shanty’s are being re-purposed as garden sheds. As bikes, scooters and quads move out, the sleds take their place in the back of the garage. Snow shovels and plows are put away. It’s almost time for rakes and garden hoes. Soon spring flowers will be poking their little buds out of the ground and sandals will take the place of snow boots, once the mud dries up that is! `: )

It’s a gray, raining, foggy morning on the Keweenaw. Groomers will not be going out again until we get more snow or colder temperatures. Trails are soft and wet! Most cross country ski trails still have plenty of snow, but grooming has been much been suspended there too. Mont Ripley is closed today due to rain, will reopen tomorrow. If you must get out on any kind of trail, bring your wet weather gear! — Via Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula Page
