Lake Gogebic Trail Report – 02/07
February 7th, 2017
8 – 9 inches of new snow today! Groomers are running all trails daily; however we have been experiencing some pretty heavy traffic for a non-weekend day. Must be the snow storm. We’re expecting some nice cold temps…until the weekend when the predictions are calling for highs in the 30’s. However, night temps should be cold enough for grooming through the weekend. Keep checking back and I’ll keep you updated through the week.
As previously posted, please stay on the trails in Bergland. You are not allowed to ride the highway through town and may be ticketed. You can only access the gas station by following the trail through the park and crossing directly across from the gas station from Antonio’s Restaurant. If riding the roads through Merriweather (down to the Hoop ‘N Holler Tavern or to the lake) please remember to ride at the posted speed limit of 25 mph and stay to the side of the roadway, and, as always be aware that this is a residential area and watch for traffic.
