TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 12/09
The warm front is here, as I write this, the temp is 41 degrees. Cold weather is forecasted to set back in Tuesday. We are asking that all ORV’S to please refrain front using the snowmobile trails so that when the temperature drops we have something to work with. Start doing those dances, we need cold weather and snow. We will update you as the weather/conditions change.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Accumulating lake effect snow will continue tonight for parts of eastern upper and the NW lower snowbelt. An additional 1-4 inches is expected for parts of the county with localized amounts in excess of 8 inches possible near Sault Ste. Marie and Brimley. In the NW lower snow belts, additional snow of 2-4 inches in some spots is possible as well tonight. TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> Groomer Mike went out on the south trail yesterday and sent in some pics. Mike said the trails groomed up nice with the exceptions of a few small water holes. Looking at his ribbon, I think I'm going out for a ride today. Thanks Mike for volunteering your time. Remember to Ride Right, Ride Safe, Ride Sober.
Also, GTASC will be enrolling in the Groomer Tracking App program. Groomer Mike was instrumental in getting the GTASC on-line with this program. We anticipate to have this up and running very soon.
