Gaylord Area Trail Report – VisitGaylord.com – 01/09

Sledheads of Frederic – 01/09

We had about 8 inches of new white fluffy snow overnight here in Frederic. Schools are closed everywhere and trails are packed full of fluffy snow. Its a tough ride right now because there is so much snow on them its hard to see but as riders and groomers pack them down its going to get very nice. There is still supposed to be some more snow falling on us today

Gaylord Bureau

The Gaylord area has about 6 ~ 8 inches of snow! The area has blowing snow and below average temps. Trails were panned on Sunday Night and Monday Night. Trails are rated ‘FAIR ~ GOOD’ at this time! We are under a ‘WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY’ from 1 pm today through 10 am Friday morning for possible 8 ~ 12 inches of new snow! Just received word that grooming will begin tonight!

Cadillac Area Trail Report – 01/09

January 9, 2015

Snow Report from Caberfae Peaks: 10.5 inches of new snow overnight and 28.5 inches in the last 10 days.

Two to four more inches of snow in the forecast…

January 7, 2015 – Condition: Fair – Another brutally cold, windy day…fortunately we picked up another inch or so of snow but not the packy stuff we so desperately need.

Today is not an official grooming day as we have designated Wednesday as a maintenance day for equipment.

That doesn’t mean there are no groomers out there as some may get the notion to go grooming after the maintenance work is done –so always be on the lookout for groomers.

We continue to hear the trails to the north toward Mesick are in good condition but the rest of trails remain in fair condition so that is where we will keep our rating.

January 6, 2015 – UPDATE: Checkout the following picture sent this evening by our groomer covering the southern portion of our system. A special thanks to our groomers for sending these pictures to us for up-the-minute trail reports. Be sure to let them know you appreciate their efforts. They are all VOLUNTEERS.
