Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 12/28

Greetings Sledders,

Hi Ya’ll. We are still here. We’ve had the motel listed since May and have had just a hand full of interested folks making inquires, so you’re stuck with Sandy, me and the Girls for the foreseeable. For those of you that are new, Sandy and I actually do this report online or over the phone, and the Girls are our English Setters and they don’t talk.

Anybody who’s been awake over the last 24 hrs knows there’s a storm a coming and I think there’s little sense in talking about until it gets here. Which we will do early tomorrow. We can give you better info in terms of snow make-up, which I assume it will be wet, snow depth, and what the plan is for grooming.

Ride Often and Please Be Safe,
Keith, Sandy and The Girls

At Fay’s Motel enjoy direct access to the Grayling Area snowmobile trails.

Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 12/28

Western U.P. Snowmobile Report

Finally it looks like winter in our neck of the woods. We received any where from 4 to 8 inches of snow this past weekend with more snow in the forecast.

The former Gogebic Range Trail Authority now know as the Snow Shakers are reporting: Trail 2 from Ironwood to Wakefield has been panned. Please remember it is still early season riding so you will encounter wet spots and bare spots so ride with caution. The GRTA will have an update on Wednesday after our snowfall.

The Lake Gogebic Area Groomers are reporting they received 8″ of new snow with more in the forecast. Groomers are out packing down the snow on the trails without drags,at this time. As soon as conditions allow they will be out with the drags on all trails. We will keep you posted.

Watersmeet Groomers are reporting; as soon as conditions allow they will be out with the drags on all trails. We will keep you posted.

Each Western U.P. snowmobiling adventure is unique and exciting, as there are over 2000 miles groomed trails, unplowed logging roads, secluded National Forest trails throughout our area. Explore a Western U.P. winter and share the experience of a Western U.P. snowmobiling vacation with your family and friends. This is what snowmobiling is all about.
