This morning it is 16 degrees and a light snow is falling. The weather IDIOTS got me again!!! I get so excited when they say winter storm warning. We maybe got 2 inches outa that…so I quit….I ain`t gettin excited no more….except maybe when they call for clear skies….then we`ll get hammered!! Enough of that….on to business.

Groomer Mike went into the south swamp yesterday with just a machine. He got it froze down enough to open it UP finally!!! We are going to pull a drag through there today and try to get it smoothed out some. It is passable but be careful and go slow, there is still a few wet spots to get around.

Groomer Woody is going to run the Point Trail today. I ran the Falls Trail last night with a drag for the first time this year. I know, its mid January, and we are just gettin started….blame the weather….not us!! There are still a couple of wet spots on this trail, you can get around them and they are only a foot deep at most, but be careful.

We also have a couple of new guys joining our operation. I want to give a shout out and welcome to Loren and Brandon. They have just moved UP here and run a small business called Wrench All & Outdoor Services. They are both heavy equipment mechanics and operators and also run trail rescue runs for broke down sleds and such. We`ll put them to good use wrenching on our groomers!!! They are both going out to run the Pine Stump trail today.

Things are really looking up, so come on UP and have some fun. I think by Wednesday we`ll be running a full groomer schedule.
