Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 12/30

Well once again the snow that the weather reports were calling for missed us. We did get about an inch of new snow but that is it. Our temps for the next few days will be in the 20’s with lows in the teens.

Please remember it is still early season riding and we are encountering a lot of wet spots use caution.

The former Gogebic Range Trail Authority now known as the Snow Shakers are reporting: Trail 2 from Ironwood to Wakefield has been panned. Please remember it is still early season riding so you will encounter wet spots and bare spots so ride with caution. The GRTA will have an update on Wednesday after our snowfall.

The Lake Gogebic Area Groomers are reporting: Groomers run 8 East and 1 North with drags on. They have been running over the other trails as well. Use caution when riding.

Watersmeet Groomers are reporting: Groomers were out for the first run, flattening and packing down the trails. We need more snow. There are some wet spots out there so use caution

Each Western U.P. snowmobiling adventure is unique and exciting, as there are over 2000 miles groomed trails, unplowed logging roads, secluded National Forest trails throughout our area.
