Benzie Visitor Bureau – 12/30

Hi all! Well, I have better news than I have had yet this season but not GREAT news. Good news is at least it is looking white out there! Our area saw about 3-6′ of sleet, snow, and ice Monday into Tuesday. It is a thick heavy snow, slippery and packed hard! Bad news is that unfortunately it’s not enough snow to get the groomers out yet, BUT it is a start! SO _ NOW we really gotta do the snow dance and say your prayers for more more more snow! They are calling for 4-8′ lake effect over the next several days so lets hope we get it! We are hearing some sleds are out there but it’s not good yet AND there are many MANY trees down after the wind storm last week. So – if you can help out, please come this Saturday (Jan 2) to a ‘TRAIL WORK DAY’ with the Benzie Manistee Snowbirds. 9am at the Clubhouse in Kaleva. Help is definitely needed to clear the trails! If you can’t make it Saturday let Jeff know, since there may be folks out other days too. Call or text Jeff at 517-740-1726. So – let’s hope the season is beginning soon! C’mon Mother Nature – bring it on! SHOUT OUT of THANKS to my friends Cincinnati Steve & FedEx Lloyd for the emails and pics! LOVE IT! So, till I can say CYA on the trails – take care! Carol B
