Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 12/13

Things are looking good. The forecast is indicating that we are in for more snow. We need that so the groomers can have something to work with… at this time there has not been any grooming done.

We did have riders in and they enjoyed being able to ride. They also reported trails are very rough at this point. Snow covered. They just had some fun riding thru the woods a bit and getting out in the fluff for the start of the season.

Its looking like we’re going to have a snow filled December. Time to be making those reservations over the holidays. Rooms are filling in. Enjoy staying along the trail as well as friendly hospitality.

Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 12/13

Greetings Sledders,

Well now, I’d say we are off to a better than good start to the season, he said as he knocks on wood and circles his chair three times so as not to jinx anything.

We got a mix of Lake Effect and system snow last weekend, not enough to fire up the groomers and start the base building process and also not enough to draw much traffic to speak of which helped preserve what we did get.

At least that’s the impression I get looking from the road crossings. It’s only going to take a few more inches to get us going, which appear to be on the weekend horizon if the long range forecasts hold true. John Dee has us in the 8+ inches zone for the moment, a lot can change between now and then, we’ll have to wait and see.

Last weekend Crazy Ink John and Company couldn’t hold off any longer and ventured out on what we thought to be marginal conditions and surprisingly good rides were reported by all, what do we know?

We will get something out regarding this weekend’s projected trail conditions as soon as we know something a bit more solid.

Ride Often and Please Be Safe,
Keith, Sandy and The Girls
