OK, second attempt to put out a report. Power went out on the first and I lost it all. Now on generator power. It was 41 degrees this morning when I got up at 7:30. It is now 10:30 and 45 and the sun is coming out and very windy. Had a thunder storm roll through last night and it rained pretty hard….dis is not good!! Surprised when I got up how much snow we lost last night. We are down to about a foot and a half on the ground now.

Did talk to da boss this morning and we have Groomer Loren runnin to Pine Stump today. Decided to hold off on the other trails till it cools down. It is supposed to cool down by the way. ‘They’ are saying highs in the 20`s and lows in the single digits through the weekend and an inch here an there. Don`t know what to tell ya`s about this weekend coming UP. I guess just keep checking back and I`ll keep ya informed.

Oh, one thing I did want to mention. With this strong wind, keep an eye out for fallen trees on the trails. All fer today. Groomer Chris

It’s 42 and drizzly out at about noon on Monday in Frederic.

Snow is pretty mushy but there are two sleds over at the swamp right now. They were in here a bit ago and said they had rode here from Starvation Lake.

Only time will tell if we will get enough snow for one more ride. Right now I think we are done again until then. I took a first timer out for a ride yesterday. He has been a long time friend and we did a nice little 30 mile ride around Frederic and up to the Keg in waters for lunch. Corey puts out a pretty big burger there.

We came across a sled that had the a arm and ski pushed all the way back on it setting along old 27. I stopped and looked at it and was wondering what it had hit as I couldn’t see anything around it and then the light went off in my head. I walked over to the tracks and could see exactly what happened. He was riding down the side of the tracks and the a arm caught on a railroad tie, did a complete flip and landed upright on the tail light and then they ended up in the middle of the tracks.

This all goes back to STAY AWAY FROM THE RAILROAD TRACKS. Enough said on that. I will go back to every couple days updates until something comes up good in the snow department.
