Lake Gogebic Area groomers are out double grooming daily keeping the trails in shape. Groomers are reporting all trails are in very good condition, but again watch corners, they may be icy with increased traffic. Just to let you know that there will be logging starting on Trail 1 between The Fishtales and accesss trail to Gogebic Lodge. Signs will be posted so use caution.. Also on trail 1 closer to Presque Isle, snow is a bit thinner so expect good conditions in this area.

Watersmeet Area groomers are also grooming daily. All trails are in good to very good condition. Again corneres are icy.
IN ALL AREAS:
Please stop at stop signs.. we’re starting to get some complaints people are not stopping at the stop signs so let’s make sure we stop before someone gets hurt…

ABOUT THE ICE:
It’s time for our usual caution. There is no such thing as "safe ice" due to underwater currents. If you plan to go out, be sure you talk to locals where you intend to ride for more information about the ice depth and other factors…be aware you will be riding at your own risk.

Our 800# is down so when calling you will not get a recording. Hopefully it will be fixed soon!!! Check back for updates and check out our webcams around the area at westernup.info ….

PHOTO REQUEST from us. If you have any neat snomo pictures you’re willing to share,we’re looking for a cover shot for next years map and other marketing uses. Can’t pay but will give a photo credit on inside of map. Send in jpg-300dpi-to bigsnow@westernup.info. Be aware anything you send will become the property of the WUPCVB so this request is more for amateur photographers…in other words, don’t send anything you may want to sell in the future. We appreciate any help on this.
