Grand Marais Trail Report – 03/13

Here’s the scoop on the trails, despite the warm weather and rain, they are in Good to Very Good condition! I say good because of course there is some ice in spots but nothing major to be concerned with. The groomers were busy yesterday cutting down moguls and cleaning branches off the trails. They even made an extra run into town early in the day to smooth things up. We received several inches of light, fluffy snow yesterday and some blowing last night so expect to find drifts in the open areas that developed after the groomers went through. We’ll get those smoothed out tonight. There is still lots of riding and more snow is in the forecast through the weekend. Come on UP and enjoy one last blast!

Base: 36 or more inches

Snowfall Past 24 hours: 5 inches

Last Grooming: Yesterday and last night

Paradise Area Trail Report – 03/13

Took me 6 hours to clean out my parking lot of a foot of slush yesterday, I knew it was gonna be a long day!!

Woke up this morning to 16 degrees and a good 4 inches of fresh snow. The weatherman is calling for a couple more and temps in the upper 20`s and low 30`s for daytime highs and teens and lower 20`s for night time lows.

I am a hard head and am not gonna call the trails excellent but they are better than good!!! We`ve got em groomed flatter than a board and this fresh snow is only gonna help. This weekend should be great…..so what ya waiting for? Come on UP and get in a PERFECT last ride…..theres that word again……ohhhh yeaaaa!! Groomer Chris

Base: 8 inches
