Where has this day gone? It’s been crazy with snowmobilers everywhere–a great thing! Trails have tightened up nicely thanks to cold temperatures yesterday and even colder today. We also received a couple inches of fresh snow to layer over the solid base. Traffic was quieter yesterday but picked up again today. I just saw a groomer go by, so the trails will soon be excellent once again. Here’s to another great day of riding in the beautiful north. Enjoy the trails and drive smart out there! To join or renew Grooming Club membership, send your email to info@indianriversnowmobiling.org or visit www.indianriversnowmobiling.org. Thanks to your support we’re building our groomer ‘barn’ and will soon have a new facility where we can store and work on the equipment!

December 30, 2013 | North Guide
Yesterday the trails took a major hit–not just from heavy sled traffic but from the warm temperatures. The mercury was registering 42 degrees and it stayed warm throughout the evening into this morning. The groomers simply have to stay parked when it is that warm. The temperatures have started to drop and the groomers are all out there trying to straighten things out as best they can.
We won’t know the overall condition of our trail network until they have a chance to complete their work. Fortunately, there is no more warm weather in the immediate forecast. Stay tuned.
