Grand Traverse Snowmobile Club – 01/19

Groomers are out tonight fixing the trails from the weekend. Some parts groomed up nicely and others not to well. Corners are icy so be careful. All together I would rate the trail system as Fair. There is some decent riding to be had. Groomers will remain parked until we get more snow.

Woke up this morning to 8 degrees and a clear blue sky with a beautiful sunrise…..perfect.

OK, on to business. My brother from down below e-mailed me again this morning and called me a slacker again. I guess I haven`t updated since the 15th….sorry….been busy. He said ya`ll got warm down der and got rain and trashed the snow…..sorry bout dat. We hit 32 on Saturday but no rain and everything is good to go UP here. The trails were very busy this past holiday weekend. We tried to keep up the best we could. Most people understood what with all the traffic. I know they got pretty beat by the end of the day. I groomed Saturday night. If you think it is rough on a sled with a suspension, try runnin a groomer that has no suspension……dats rough!!!

We will have everything whipped into shape again by tonight. The weather looks like it will cooperate and life is good. Remember….the trails are the best during the week with less traffic. If you can make it UP on a week day you`ll be the happiest sledder in the world!!
