Indian River Trail Report – 01/20

Happy holiday Monday to you all. It’s been a heavy traffic weekend but that’s what it’s all about when you have great snow. We had about 4 inches of snow fall this weekend and the temperatures really took a dive yesterday. We’re in single digits this morning and expect to stay there the next two days. It’s overcast but we’re not expected to see precipitation until tomorrow. The railroad grade was groomed last night but our second tractor broke down on the wooded trail. You will see rough conditions on the outlying areas of the trail. However, our working tractor just passed my window so it looks like the woods will be groomed this morning!

Base: 8 inches

Snowfall Past 24 hours: 3 inches

Last Grooming: Sunday night, 1-19-14

Current Trail Conditions: Good to Excellent

Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 01/19

Trails are in good shape. This weekend has been busy so the riding in the first part of the day is the best. Grooming has been on-going. Everyone was happy this morning at breakfast and looking forward to another fun day on the trails.

If you get a chance take some time off work to come north and ride the trails when there aren’t as many snowmobilers. Its much more enjoyable. Give us a call to make a reservation. Price includes a hot breakfast.

Rays Retreat is located directly on the snowmobile trail (7). Ample parking, park your sleds outside your room. The garage is available if you should have any repairs to do to your sled.
