Cadillac Area Trail Report – Cadillac Trails – 02/23

Snow Accumulation: 6.5 inches*

The last couple of days have brought some beautiful sunny days but they have taken a toll. The trails in the national forest area remain in very good condition and we continue to groom them on a daily basis. The In-town trail was groomed today as well. However, it is becoming increasing difficult, if not impossible to get to the trails from town. Your best bet is to trailer to the Staging area for trail access until we get more snow. The roads and shoulders are mostly bare throughout the area. As for the White Pine, we recommend you stay off it at this point. Any snow the wind didn’t blow off earlier this week, the sun did a pretty good job of melting yesterday and today.

You will find Staging Areas in the following locations:

Cadillac West Area: 33 Rd, 27 Rd (both off M55 W)

Caberfae Area: 13 Rd (off W M55)

Boon: By Boon Grocery

Cadillac Area Trail Report – Cadillac Trails – 02/22

Snow Accumulation: 9 inches*

Our Trail Coordinator had the day off yesterday and was out enjoying the trails. Can’t get much luckier than that! This morning he reports "Our trails are in great shape with 6 to 8 inches of fresh snow and very few bumps. The groomers started up again yesterday (2) and last night (3) . There is ICE under the snow and this new snow is packing down to only about 1" thick. We did not try the White Pine Trail, but I am guessing there are a lot of bare spots due to the high winds."
