Cadillac Area Trail Report – 02/04

February 4, 2015 – Conditions: Fair to Good

We have been getting a little snow each day but we picked up an additional 1-2 inches overnight and there is snow in the air now. It’s shaping up nicely for Cadillac’s big festival this weekend–the North American Snow Festival. We continue to rate the trail as fair to good as there are still some thin spots in the system but there is lots of good riding throughtout in the area. Talked to a couple of riders who had been on the White Pine Trail yesterday and they both described it as ‘beautiful.’ Thankfully, we were able to start grooming it recently.

As of Sunday, February 1, we have resumed our full grooming schedule.

Cadillac Area Trail Report – 02/01

February 1, 2015 – Conditions: Fair to Good – We got an inch or so of snow yesterday and we are getting a dusting today. Sadly, we are on the northern edge of the snow storm that is blanketing the southern half of the state. Haven’t had a report yet on how the southern area of our system is benefiting from the snow storm yet. Hopefully it is as we could really use more snow in the southern and eastern portions of our system.

the Tucker out this morning and took this picture on Trail 379 near 15 1/2 Road–north

Here’s a picture taken by Karl Richard, our treasurer and one of our Sunday morning groomers. He had the Tucker out this morning and took this picture on Trail 379 near 15 1/2 Road–north end. Can’t beat that for an accurate account of snow conditions.
