Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/06

It’s a cool but sunny morning in Frederic.

First thing I saw on the trail this morning near my house were 3 deer running down the trail.

Our 3 day Winter Storm Warning really didn’t give us much snow. It was minus 1 this morning and is supposed to be a nice low temp weekend. All trails and crossings I looked at this morning looked nice and white and I think they will stay that way with the cold temps.

Lot of trailers already in town with 22 at the Ramada and 8 at the Days Inn. I have to say I am surprised I still didn’t book anyone into our cottage this weekend so if you still thinking of looking for a place please remember me.

Quite a few sleds around town yesterday and the Darkside Adventures boys stopped by warming up for their trip coming up at the end of the month. They are heading off to the Gaspe Pennisula in Quebec which is way north of Maine. You can follow along on their website this year. I always enjoy following those guys, I only wish I could ride with them some day. Here is a link to their site Darkside Adventures ride thru the Gaspe Pennisula Thanks for checking in and please ride safely. Pete — http://frederic-mi.com/cool-morning/

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/05

Dress Warm but the blowing has stopped. Its going to be a chilly weekend but great conditions for riding.

We really have only had a couple inches in the past 24 hours but we are still under winter storm warning till tomorrow afternoon.

I don’t know if the foot is really going to fall but its good so far. At least so far the winds have stopped.

Quite a few riders thru Frederic already this morning but I just got here and its past noon.

We were open at 9 but our Thursday morning Century 21 office meetings always puts me in here late……

So on to get some goodies ordered to sell for this weekend, I think its going to be busy. Pic below is from yesterday, of a rider that stopped in and the second pic came in last night from Matt who is Hawaii at Hanamah Bay showing off his sledheads shirt. I have snorkeled that bay before and it sounds good but after the snow melts. Thanks for the pic Matt. Thanks for checking in. Pete — http://frederic-mi.com/dress-warm/
