Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 02/01

Snow in the air here in Frederic this morning.

It’s 29 out and we had about 3 to 4 inches of new snow all together yesterday.

So that is a nice help, riders just were in and are heading into Grayling for lunch, funny thing about this guy Gopher Greg was that while we were in Virginia in the Shennandoah mountains I had stopped to talk to a girl wearing a Beaver Island shirt. Turns out it was Gopher Gregs daughter. You just never know who your gonna run into.

So if this snow keeps up it should be a decent weekend, More sleds pulling up right now.

I have been following the Darkside Adventures guys and they are in some incredible snow up north east of Maine. Also here is a link to a story that tv 7 and 4 did about the cops on the train. Railroad Snowmobile Enforcement Dave Klemish just stopped in to show me his new Polaris Axis 600 Switchback, looks like a Harley…….orange and black….they are teasing me about riding up to the bridge. Also Happy Birthday to our beautiful daughter Haley who turns 17 today. Seems like yesterday I was posting and counting down the days for baby Sledhead to be born. I was out on the Manistee River early this morning so here are some river pics….Pretty Scenic…..and aThanks for checking in. Pete — http://frederic-mi.com/snow-in-the-air-2/

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/31

Boy time flies when your having fun and I must be having a lot cause its already 1:00 p.m. in Frederic

I don’t know where the day goes. So there is light snow in the air and we only had a micro skiff of new snow overnight, just barely enough to cover my windshield on my truck.

Temp is right at 32 right now but it was down in the teens at night. I did have a group of riders in here a while ago from Fort Wayne that said they had been having a great ride.

On the way up here I passed the Grayling Groomer heading out so that was a good sign too. At least things have firmed up but we still need a good dumping on us.

Seems like a lot of Fort Wayne people have been around here lately. A shout out to Steve in Fort Wayne who called in yesterday and said they had been up this past weekend and had a great time. With all the Fort Wayne people coming up here you would think I could get one of them to pick me up some coneys from downtown FW……(just a hint)

So we are all waiting for more snow but we have to take what we have for now. Thanks for checking in. Just took this picture of these riders that came in. They are from Midland. Please ride safely. Pete — http://frederic-mi.com/time-flies/
