Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 03/01

Wednesday nite, March 1, 6:15 p.m. I just rolled back into Frederic to an incredible snow storm. We have about 6 to 7 fresh inches here and about the same in Grayling.

I drove back north from flint today and a little snow started showing by west branch. All of this new snow is since about ten this morning and its still coming.

I came up here to the shop to get my plow truck as I have a bunch to move. The real question is how long will it last. For those lucky enough to be the first ones out there they are going to have some fun.

Remember however we had torrential rains yesterday so there is a lot of water and mud out there. Its 20 out right now. Can you believe someone wrote me yesterday and told me that I shouldn’t post pictures and tell people what the trails are like because that makes the trails to crowded and they will get tore up to fast.

I guess they just wanted private trails for themselves…..Below are two pics I just took on the way up here. Keep up the snow chants and please stay off the trails. Maybe cause I said that it will make that other whiner happy. Thanks for checking in. Pete — http://frederic-mi.com/wednesday-nite-march-1-615-p-m/

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 02/28

It’s been raining on and off this morning in Frederic and we are supposed to get three different waves of it, so what we do have left will get hit even harder today.

I drove up to Gaylord this morning and the trail along 27 actually looked pretty white most of the way but all the drive crossings were mostly bare and then other bare spots along the way too.

I stopped in at Bob Evans for breakfast which I hardly ever go out for breakfast and ran into Jerry for the Sled Shed. I haven’t talked to him in a while but he and I are both in the same boat on how great the snowmobile business is right now.

Pictures below are from Ohio Brian from yesterday and he said he actually had a pretty good ride. The really nice picture is from Ron who took that pic on sunday.

To give you an idea of how much snow we lost since Friday the 17th study the penguin picture. This was on a wood pile, the top clothes pin was how much snow there was on Friday. That’s it for today Thanks for checking in. Pete — http://frederic-mi.com/raining/
