Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/19

It doesn’t get any better than this…..its a sunny sunday morning in Frederic at 16 degrees. A few new inches of snow overnight along with all the snow we had yesterday on top of everything the night before. I would say total in the past couple days we have to be close to a foot of new snow…..Lots of riders around all day yesterday and motels still full this morning.

I had to deliver a helmet out to Super 8 south of Grayling last night and I was surprised to see they had 31 trailers there, and that is more than the 26 at the Ramada and 21 at Days Inn this morning. It will be interesting to see how many stay around to ride yet tommorow. It took a long time but I am finally talking to riders that have rode up to the bridge. Yesterday was by far the busiest day of the season and it was snowing so hard most of the day it was tough to see across the street.

27 years go today I got the best birthday present you could possibly get. My daughter Melissa was born on my 36th birthday…..Hard to believe she is 27 and I am 63……boy that went by fast. She had asked me to go to Mizzoula Montana today but of course here I sit in Frederic……..sure would like to see some Montana snow…….Thanks for checking in. Pete

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/18

Beautiful & Perfect, I havent been able to say that this snowmobile season but that what we have right now. Snow is still falling and about 5 new inches over night, and its supposed to be snowing all day. Got here at 8:30 and already had several people in. Ramada had 22 trailers this morning and Days Inn had 20 trailers. Fays Motel had the no vacancy sign up too for the first time this season.

So now we are rolling. Friday was steady with riders and I never got out of here till 11 last night. Also for those of you that have trailers in down at my storage facility I put rubber flaps over the key pads to keep the keys from freezing up. If the keys feel frozen get up close to them and blow on them and they thaw out right away. I have never had as much travel as this year with the key pad freezing, I think its cause of all the rain we have had…..Also remember I drop things off to the local motels if you come in here and buy things and dont have room to carry them. So Lets Ride and Please be Safe…..Thanks for checking in. Pete
