Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 12/05

Still the same out there, only a little bit of fluffy stuff the past couple of days. While what snow that we did have has setteled there has still been no one out there. A friend told me he rode 20 miles on tuesday and he is an off trail guy he said there werent even any tracks at all on the actual sled trail.

Forecast for this weekend doesnt look like anything is going to happen so here we are again at the hurry up and wait game.

Warning are online and tv last night for riders to be aware of downed trees especially in the u.p. where trees are down across the trails and have been covered up by snow. Kind of like getting clothes lined but way down low. I am starting trail reports for the local radio station in Grayling so if you are driving north they will be running them thruout the weekend. Tune in to 100.3 on your way north. Just took the pic below out the front door of the shop looking south…still nice and white but we need more. Thanks for checking in. Pete

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 12/03

It’s a cloudy and calm tuesday morning and 36 degrees in Frederic, no new snow since monday morning. Only 2 sleds in yesterday but they had come up from Detroit and rode sunday and were riding yesterday and said it was a great ride. Just as I felt it would be, now its settleling, still amazed that there werent any other riders out.

When I left here last night there 2 sleds at the Frederic Inn. I went and bought my new registrations yesterday and walked into the secratary of state and there was no line so that was a surprise too…….In the past when we have had snow in December there would be riders but still not as busy as after Christmas……hopefully there will be snow then……pic below is from the Detroit guys that were in yesterday.

And for those of you that are new out there I have secure and fenced trailer parking at my storage facility with 24 hour access so you dont have to haul your trailer back and forth. Thanks for checking in…….Pete
