Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/31

A few new flakes of snow overnight but only enough to let you see new white, checked trailers at the motels this morning and 4 at Days Inn and only 5 at the Ramada. My feeling is that this weekend will be a repeat of last weekend. There are riders out there and still decent trails so once again I say you just have to ride it and make the best of it. I have heard sleds out there this morning but no one into here yet and its now 10:30.

Supposed to start cooling down next week with a system maybe on tuesday….currently 33 degrees in downtown Frederic.

Yesterday there was an explosion at the new Arauco plant in Grayling, pic afterwards is below, I saw the video of the actual explosion and imagine having 5 large gasoline tankers blowing up at the same time, thats what it looked like. Thankfully no one hurt or killed. Ten minutes before people had been working in there. Thats it for today. Think Snow…….just like the license plate I saw on a car in town last night. Thanks for checking in. Pete

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/30

I wish mother nature would “just send it”……its just not happening. Its 11 a.m. thursday morning in Frederic, just had a group of 4 guys in that rode here from 4 mile road south of grayling…….north of m 72 just like it was for me yesterday the trail is still good.

Surprisingly on our ride yesterday we had a lot of rutty hard areas so we never made it to Lovells but once we got on the groomed trail thats where we should have been the whole time. Most of the ruts we ran into on the two tracks were from trucks and jeeps which made it hard…..but all in all it ended up a decent 3 hour ride. Still have to ride back to Lovells or Lewiston for a burger.

My daughter Haley started a go fund me page for her study abroad trip to Spain this spring, I am posting a link here to it if you could help her out that would be great. We have about half of it covered all ready but she wanted to try the fund page. Donate to Haleys study abroad trip to Madrid, Spain

Thanks for checking in. Pete
