Here I set in Frederic hoping for a storm, weather forcast is grim for this week as its warm temps all the way thru next weekend. I was here all day yesterday and never had anyone after one oclock not even any u.p. people heading home. I will still feel it out and stay open next weekend but now I say heck with it and am breaking out of Sledheads Prison…..heading for Newberry shortly and going to ride to Grand Marais tonight. Just got off the phone with Rick at the Superior Hotel in Grand Marais and thats where I am going to bunk tonight with dinner and drinks at the Tavern and the Dunes in case anyone is up there. Of course I cant find anyone that is on the same crazy spur of the moment schedule as me so I am going by myself. If anyone is up there and wants to ride in the morning give me a call at 989 344 1800…. My parole date for getting out of Sledheads Prison is April 1 but if we get more snow my sentence may get extended. Pic below is from Sleds that were in yesterday but I dont remember where they were from. My friend Roger out in the black hills in south dakota had posted some pics of complete mobile homes that were covered by drifts, why cant we get that lucky. Look at this drift on I 90 east of Rapid City., the road was closed about five days why cant we be that lucky ….Thanks for checking and keep snow chanting or this season is gonna be over to soon. It’s a sunny sunday morning at 27 degrees, its now 11:30 and I have only seen one sled. Yesterday was pretty slow too but when I went by the parking lot on 72 earlier yesterday afternoon there were 8 trailers there.

My brother rode 170 miles up out of st ignace yesterday and he said it was just like real winter there and the trails were great, they rode over to Naubinway and went to the snowmobile museum. There was a point yesterday morning you will see from the pics below that it was snowing and blowing just like we would love to see all the time here but that only lasted a little while.

I dont know what has happened to Dave Klemish who usually checks in with me or calls and makes me jealous cause he gets to ride so much. After all his trips up here riding maybe he ran out of funds……

I am thinking about a u.p. run here in the next couple days, I just checked Grand Marais site and that is looking good but after my brothers report too I think it wouldnt hurt to just start out in St Ignace……Thanks for checking in. Pete
