Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 03/29

It’s a sunny friday morning in downtown Frederic, 36 degrees, there was a little frost overnight and enough to firm things up again. Side of the shop is mostly grass now but as I have been saying there is still alot of snow out there. Ohio Brian and I are going to head out for a ride here in a little while. I know there are still some good areas that we are going to hit. Will do some video and post it later today or in the morning or maybe try a live feed if it will work where we are at.

Heard from Ohio Herb yesterday and glad he finally got a small ride in last week over near lewiston. It wasnt what he was hoping for but it was his first time back on a sled in a few years. Still snow way up near grand marais with alot of snow in the woods and the groomers have been out for those that want the last taste of winter.

It will be interesting to see if we get any blasts in April like what we had last year. I rode five times in April and that was some of the best riding of the season. Never say Never……Photos below I just took outside of the shop. Thanks for checking in. Pete

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 03/28

It’s a cloudy, calm 46 this morning in Frederic. Still ice and puddles on trails and I can pretty confidently say its not going to get any better. If you have a area you can unload at there are still spots you can work out to ride. I hope to do that maybe tommorow just to say I did.

Pic below is the trail looking north towards gaylord at hulbert road in Frederic that I took this morning. Looks about the same looking across the road to trail 7 back to grayling.

Other pic is of my click counter on my website, apparently the only person paying attention to it this year and waiting for it to hit the five million five hundred thousand mark was Byron Brinley down in Middletown Ohio, he was the only one that sent in a pic of it and it was already 1788 clicks past the mark. So for that he gets a Polar Vortex shirt sent to him. I guess next benchmark will be 6 million but thats a ways off especially seeing that the warmer weather is getting here. Only 2 more days of the riding season left after today. Thanks for checking in. Pete
