Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 02/15

It’s calm and still out there this morning. Weather last night still shows a week with snow everyday, only trouble with that is that its been 2 days now and not a flake of snow. Still riders are raving about how good the trails are. Sixteen degrees this morning.

Have already sold 11 trail permits this morning. The state is switching computer systems and I am the only place in Grayling area to have trail permits. All state outlets are off. I have about 60 more permits and then thats it for the weekend. Ramada had 37 trailers and Days Inn had 18 this morning. So its gonna be a busy day here.

I saw the grayling groomer on the trail thru downtown this morning at 7:30. Thanks for checking in and think snow. Pete

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 02/14

Well no new snow overnight but the weather is still showing snow all the way up to next thursday but its spread out around the lower penninsula. Still I say conditions are really good right now. A few sleds in so far this morning. Checked Days inn this morning with 3 trailers there and 18 at the Ramada. Have had many calls from people heading out and quite a few trailers have already pulled out of my storage area for wherever they are going to this weekend. Dress warm as its supposed to be cold and I probably should have ordered another dozen pair of guantlets for this weekend. Had a group of the Flying tigers from OHio in here yesterday and they said a bunch of them are coming up. Also at Starvation Lake by the store on sunday the Kalkaska Snowmobile Association is having a trail stop from 11 to 3 and will have cookies, hot dogs, chili, & hot chocolate so stop by and see them. And speaking of hot dogs a big shout out and thank you to Adam Rowe who brought me in a bag of coneys from Gillies Coney Island in Flint……..So have fun everyone and Please ride safely and thanks for checking in. Pete
