LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – 12/17
Happy Tuesday evening to everyone.. We thought a quick update was due post warmup. Machines are parked until we receive a good measurable snowfall again. Our trail’s survived surprisingly well and they’re people still riding.. We’ll be out doing signage and brushing work, checking swamp area’s to see if they can be crossed and whatever else to give you the best experience throughout our system. We’re currently sitting at a cold 24° with a winter storm advisory posted. That’s all for now, we’ll continue to update. Thanks ❄️❄️❄️

WEATHER UPDATE via Michigan Storm Chasers >> Snow and ice return tonight, and continue through midday April 4th, 2026. Snow totals will be the highest yet again into the Keweenaw Peninsula. It's almost a carbon copy of today. Ice totals, however, are primarily a concern for the Upper Peninsula. -A second system moves through the area Friday night and Saturday bringing another round of mixed precipitation. Similar impacts are possible.
