Rode today with Greg Turnowski (DNR trail sign guy) on trails 1 and 13 south half – he was pointing out where we need a few more signs etc.

Trail 13 started out fair from Root Cellar but then met groomer and good to very good. For now one of our groomers is stationed at Marenisco and grooming 1 and 13 frequently – trail 1 to Presque had been recently groomed but not much base – fair condition – about half way down trail is brown but no dirt showing.

I am pleased to announce Trail 100 is open from trail 13 to East Shore Rd – that point a left will take you to Slate River/ Lake Gogebic and right you can run East Shore Rd but plow trucks have scraped that pretty bare – trail 100 has been groomed.

Remember on Lake Gogebic in front of Lodge has plowed 1 mile for radar run Feb 10 – WATCH FOR BERMS!

Trail 102 this am groomed overnight and very good up to South Boundary road and to Lake Superior and Silver City – pic of Lake Superior – open water not too far out which is good for our lake effect snow. Corridor trail (1&8) in good shape.

Coming down trail 13 towards Bergland early afternoon getting choppy (groomed overnight) due to a fair amount of traffic
