LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – 01/27
Trails are turning out nice! These pictures are from this morning. Here is what a snowmobiler’s email read to us just the other day.
01/25/21
I just want to say thank you to the Gogebic area grooming. I had the pleasure to ride 102 to 11 N the trails were in very good shape for the snow that has fallen The trails brushed, wide and well maintained. I then went down trail 1 from Silver city to Bergland the trail in some places better than the roads we drive our vehicles on. The woods to town town were snirty but smooth and some ice but nothing bad.
I rode the lake to the Hoop n Holler and took the Hopp access trail that was rough. 8 east to trail 1 South was very good as well. To trail 1 South I go yes there is logging in there like 3.8 miles at start off trail. 1 south all the way to Marinesico was very good, but snirty the closer I got to trail 2 . Trail 1 N back to the 100. 100 to 13 N was light on snow but not that bad.
I rode to 8 west the trail is wide and smooth. I say Thank You to the lake Gogebic area groomer drivers. Thank You to the guys who keep the trees off the trails culverts installed and trails maintained.

-A second system moves through the area Friday night and Saturday bringing another round of mixed precipitation. Similar impacts are possible.

It’s been another great winter of riding here in the Western U.P., and we want to thank everyone who helps make these trails possible.
A huge thank you to:
❄️ Our volunteer groomer operators
❄️ The landowners who allow trails across their property
❄️ Our club members and supporters
❄️ The businesses that support the snowmobile community
❄️ And the riders who respect the trails
Remember that after March 31 the trails are officially closed for the season, so please stay off the trails once they close to protect them for next winter.
From all of us at Sno Valley Riders, thank you for being part of another great season.
