Good MONDAY Morning..1-07-2013….9:30 am . Very windy s.e. wind with gusts to 30mph….32 degrees and a 4 day warm up predicted for the upper peninsula…rain for Thursday with day and night temps at 37 degrees…not good for the snow people and our ECONOMY..wet sloppy weather …but then,,, nice cold ARTIC weather on its way.
clear cloudless sky this afternoon….a good day to snow machine seasonal unplowed roads to lake superior and take pictures…:)

Grooming activitys will be minimal during warm weather …best to leave trails undisturbed to decrease snow melt….

Good Morning… its 10:00am and 26 degrees on the shore of Whitefish Bay…(Paradise)…. temps are staying in the lower 20s and teens at night… overnight/last twelve hours about 2′ of new snow… All trails are in ‘good’ condition. some areas still lacking a good base….some brown in corners..but all are groomed flat…

Trail 45 to Tahquamenon falls is now OPEN…be careful of water hazards…they are spring fed and can open back up with warmer daytime temps….

The only trail with gates still closed is trail 8 south of Paradise…Very wet area..and we will have groomers working on it today..(Friday)….
