Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 01/27

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Krupps Resort – Good evening Kruppers! – We’re getting some pretty good snows right now! Not sure where it’s coming from but would have to assume it’s some LES off the big lake! Forecast is calling for 1-4 every day now for awhile and it’s looking good finally for the extended forecast with the possibilities of 12+ in the 5-10 day forecast!

And just to the north of the bridge the extended is calling for 12-24”!
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we see that eh?
We all know that things can go south or”BAM” a big one!
We will be keeping a close eye on things so stay tuned for updates and pictures to come!
I just took a short video of the street by our field here in Twin Lakes to share tonight!

Our groomer drivers from the Superior Snowmobile Club take great pride in trying to keep the trails smooth for you all!
It’s been an uphill battle to say the least! The traffic has been very heavy because we have some of the most snow in the Midwest and being that we seem to have over 75% long track sleds running up and down the trails to get to the off trail spots it’s been very tuff to keep up!

If you see a groomer out there please give them a thumbs up!
They know your frustrations with the bumpy trails but remember these folks are volunteering their time and work very hard for you all!

Last week Richard and the guys had a track come off a groomer and spent 9 hours or more out on the trail repairing it!
So give them a thumbs up if ya see them!
Have a great night!
