Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report PHOTO UPDATE – 02/13

Well Kruppers it is official we have received 49.1 inches in the last 10 days up here in Kruppy’s back yard!
we are at 193.3 inches for the season so far!
Its just 8 above out there right now but should get more comfortable temps soon!
It’s ‪#‎ARMPITDEEP‬ out in Da woods!
and they all said it’s an El Nino year! low snows and high temps!
BLA HA HA HA!

Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 02/11

This is the Keweenaw Snowmobile Trail System Report for Thursday, February 11, 2016.

Snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor are open. The groomers are out and trails are in good to very good condition.

There is a re-route on Trail #133. Please watch for the signs.

Remember to watch out for the groomers when you’re out on the trails, they have the right of way!!

There is active logging on Trail #120 and on part of the Bill Nicholls Trail. PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAIL IN THESE AREAS! It is for your safety as well as the loggers.

The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, please, drive safely. The signs on the trails are there for riders’ safety. Please DO NOT remove or destroy these signs. Please keep out of the Houghton City RV Park or we will no longer have access to this area of the trail.

Houghton county – 30 inches of snow on the ground, 124 inches fallen to date as of 2/9/16.
Keweenaw county – 42 inches of snow on the ground,171 inches fallen to date as of 2/10/16.

Today’s Forecast: 70% chance of snow with 1-3 inches expected, high 15, low 4
Tomorrow’s Forecast: 60% chance of snow with 1-3 inches expected, high 6, low -4
Saturday: 60% chance of snow with 1-3 inches expected, high 2, low -4
Sunday: 20% chance of snow with a mix of clouds and sun, high 16, low 12
Monday: 40% chance of snow and cloudy, high 28, low 20
