KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports….
WOW! What an amazing week it has been for riding on Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula! Over the last two days we picked up an extra foot of fresh new snow!❄️
Chad VanBennekom got out to ride yesterday and shared these photos with us. Chad said, “ Trails are nice! (Minus the drifting)”
Groomer operators have been out on all the trails, but as Chad said, you will still find some areas of drifting. Please ride with caution as always.

For real time grooming updates, download the Groomer Tracker App and subscribe to the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club trails. There is a nominal $10 fee and a portion of that fee goes directly to the KSC to help in maintaining the trails.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Dense fog will impact the morning commute, primarily over the west half. Warmer than normal temps continue today in the 30s to mid 40s. Drizzle and or freezing drizzle is possible this morning in the far west and Keweenaw (20% chance). KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club >> Yesterday's report from Groomer Chris out of our Greenland barn:
I just got back from inspecting 3/13. Roughly 18 bare spots this evening compared to the two that were there when I went out around noon. Most of the bare spots are 3-4' in diameter however there is about a 16' long bare spot on the 90 degree turn/hill by 3. Significant portions of the trails are pretty slushy and the snow is real loose on the majority of the trails. Thankfully 13 is still in decent shape however the stretch of 3 from aspen lane to the 3/12 intersection is full of small 6" or so moguls.
I'm gonna hold off on grooming because the snow is so wet I don't think I'll be able to get it to flow out the drag and it's not gonna get cold enough to firm up the snow.
