We may have had a slow 🐢 start to this season but seriously couldn’t ask for better conditions now! 👏❄️ The LES guns were initiated with the deep freeze, winds and fact that Lake Superior was pretty much wide open and they seem to be stuck in the “on” position! The Keweenaw trails are in EXCELLENT condition!
⚠️ Trail 122 is open from the junction of trail 3/122 ONLY to Sawmill Rd – the entrance to the Valley Sno Drifters trail to Dreamland Restaurant & Bar – take a trip out to Dreamland on this awesome club trail!
🚫Trail 122 past Sawmill Rd towards trail 124/Gay is still temporarily closed for logging! Please do NOT attempt to ride this section of trail! You can still access Gay via trail 124 and trail 133!
🚫Trail 3 from Dollar Bay to Lake Linden is closed as is Trails 120/121 the Freda Loop due to the Fathers Day Flood of 2018. Trail 3 reconstruction is expected to be completed and opened back up by the start of the 2023/24 season! You can still access Lake Linden via trail 17/3 and DOLLAR bay via trail 3 out of Hancock
👏Trail 133 (previously too wet and low on snow) is now being groomed as part of the regular rotation.
The trail to High Rock Bay was groomed and the water hole filled in and closed up last weekend. It has not been groomed since as groomers wanted to make sure they wouldn’t break the hole back open so the trail has some moguls now until it is groomed again. Still 💯 worth the ride out to see the beautiful view!
✅We highly recommend downloading the Groomer Tracker app and subscribing to the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club trail system to receive up to the moment grooming information. There is a nominal $10 for this, however $5 comes directly back to the club to support grooming operations! This is a win/win for the club and riders! Help support the clubs where you ride!
PLEASE ride right, ride sober and stop at ALL stop signs. The UP and Wisconsin have had too many fatalities already this season!

It’s really hard to say the “official 2025/26” snowmobile season has ended….. so we will only say grooming operations have ended and gates on trails crossing private land will be locked as of 4/1/26.
With the upcoming forecast ❄️🩵 and trails still being in excellent 🤩 condition, it should be noted for those that still want to ride… You CAN!

Well most trails close after today, Trail 3 is open all year and there’s plenty of snow left in these parts
It’s kinda sad dayfor trail riders especially since reports from Toivola north trails are reporting excellent conditions and a snowstorm in the forecast!
But gates will be locked up till next season
Personally right now starts my favorite rides of the year
Warm temps(sometimes tee shirt weather) but the beauty of the creeks and waterfalls are gorgeous!
I’m sure I’ll be sharing pictures for another month and will post here so y’all can ride vicariously through me!
It’s been a great winter
I’m pretty sure this will be my last season of riding with my battle with ALS
My body is giving up on me but not my spirit so stay tuned, ya never know

This is a sad day having to say that it's the last day of the season. Keep in mind if you are riding today the bridge will be closed tonight. I've even had Houghton in the past, start taking the snow off the sidewalk during the day.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Tonight, isolated to scattered rain showers are expected across the south and east, with maybe a few thunderstorms across the south. Across the north-central, drizzle and freezing drizzle may occur. Here's a look at this winter's snowfall totals so far at some of the bigger cities across Michigan.WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Cloud cover increases today ahead of the next batch of wintry precipitation that moves in this evening into the night. By tomorrow, the wintry precipitation will become more confined to the north, while showers and thunderstorms sneak into the southern counties. A few of these storms could even become strong at times with large hail.
