Newberry Trail Report – Halfway Lake Resort – 03/19

140318halfwaylakeWe have 32″ on the snow gauge. Guests are rating trails as fast, excellent and “unbelievable” when riding north. Groomers are doing an excellent job laying the trail flat. Our guests have ridden towards Seney, Paradise, Grand Maris and the Bear trap.

Off trail riding- guests are reporting deep snow, but having a hard time breaking through the 1-1.5″ crusty layer in open areas and advise riding with caution.

Trails through or into/out of towns are reported to be losing snow and down to snirt/pavement, but we are expected to get 3-8″ into tonight.

Camp 33 at the Tahquamenon Falls will remain open through Sunday March 30th. The groomers will run through 3/31 and after that it is up to “the state.” I am not sure when this decision is made.

You can ride the power-line right from here to reach the trails. I posted pictures of the trails and trail access on our Facbook page, so be sure to check them out. We are offering discounted end of season rates. Please call for availability. 906-869-0098
