I usually do my reports in the morning. Its just after 5 pm now and I want to do it now while I still have all the info in my head. Lots of info so hang on!!! It is 14 degrees outside and snowing. We picked up a few inches last night and throughout the day today. We are supposed to get a couple-few more tonight. Soooo…..here we go…..

The best news of the day is we have our broke down machine fixed!!!!! It was a simple problem and the tech was here at noon and figured it out. KUDOS to the tech person who came all the way from Iron Mountain in this weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now on to the trails after the storm.

There WERE alot of trees down and quite a bit of drifting. Groomer Dave M. ran south yesterday and got most of that taken care of. Groomer Kevin hit it again today but still hasn`t made it back yet. I`m sure I`ll hear from him when he`s done.

Groomers Scott and Mike rode together and hit the Falls trail #45 last night. They reported the same tree and drift problems there. They got the majority of that cleaned up. Needs another run though so just be careful.

Groomers Kevin and a new guy Groomer Glenn rode together and hit the Point trails #452 and #453 yesterday. They got alot of that cleared and Groomer Don hit it again today and took care of the rest.

Tomorrow morning we are sending 2 machines on the Stump trail. One without a drag to clear drifts in Siberia and one with to smooth things out. I know Groomer Mike is going but not sure at this time who else, but we`ll have 2 operators and 2 machines. We`ll send the other machine to the Falls.

WHEW….thats a lot to keep straight in my head!!!!!

GROOMER REPORT………..

West and East end are both equally awesome! We have tons of snow & our trails are awesome! We have over 32 inches of snow on the ground.

We did have some rain but we got 3 inches of fresh snow after that so they are still in Excellent condition!

NEWS FLASH! We have a Groomer down! It’s a major repair! We will be grooming the whole island with one groomer for at least a week or more! Please be patient with us as we try to keep up with one groomer!

Also please keep an extra eye out for a groomer in the day during this time! We are trying to groom during the early evening through morning but I might take longer with only one groomer!

Keep doing the snow dance!
