Sault Ste. Marie Trail Report – 01/02

6 below this morning Brrrrrrrrrrr! The city trail and Raco was groomed last night. Most of the Soo to Kinross was groomed today and the trail around Kinross.

There is two sections of the Soo to Kinross that we didn’t run the groomer across do the water but it is only short pieces. We will be taking 2 groomers on the Kinross to Raco trail Saturday to get it set up.

It has been cold the last few days so we can get it smoothed up and packed, now that a lot of the water spots will be frozen. We take two groomers in case we bury one in the deep water hole to pull it out.

It was 6 below this morning and 2-3 inches of snow last night. We groomed most of the Soo to Kinross trail today except where the 2 big wet spots are, between 8 and 9 Mile Road and the big beaver pond south of 12 mile. We bring up some water in spots but it will now be refrozen and the trail is much smoother. The big wet spots will still be rough but are frozen so you can ride the sled over. We will be taking the 2 groomers on the Kinross to Raco trail Saturday. Two groomers in case you get one stuck in a water hole you can pull it out.
