Luce County Snowmobile Trail Closed for Season Due to Warm Weather
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment today announced
that the Raco Snowmobile Trail from Paradise south to Silver Creek
(Trail #8) and the Tahquamenon Falls trail (Trail #45) has been closed
and gated for the season due to unsafe trail conditions. The current
unseasonably warm weather coupled with the lack of snowfall has made
this closure necessary.
Snowmobilers planning to travel to the eastern Upper Peninsula are
advised to check trail conditions daily as they are changing quickly
with the current weather conditions.
Questions concerning this closure may be directed to Newberry Fire
Supervisor Paul Gaberdiel at 906-293-3293, extension 4740, or DNRE
Recreation Specialist Dan Moore at 906 293 5131, extension 4045.
