Cadillac Area Trail Report – 03/07
Thursday, March 7, 2012 Snow accumulation: 0 inches* (some in the forest–not much) We lost the snow almost as quickly as it came. The trails are a mess if they exist at all. Where there is snow it’s slush or snirt–not a pretty picture. The White Pine is down to pavement. The Cadillac West/InTown Trail is mostly green or brown. It appears for the next week or so spring has sprung as we have more 40 to 50 degree days in the foreseeable future. The best we can hope for is a spring break snow storm. We never rule those out. The guys have been working non-stop since the storm clearing the trail system of fallen trees and brush. It’s been a back-breaking job. They are working today down by the Pine River Bridge. The White Pine Trail is yet to be done. We have had such high winds the last couple of days the guys are afraid there have been some additional trees come down in areas they have already cleared. We hope this isn’t the end of the season but it could be–stay tuned. Staging areas: Our trail system has numerous staging areas for your convenience: Tustin Have fun and ride safely. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * VIA CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS
