Cadillac Area Trail Report – 03/02

Friday, March 2, 2012 – We are optimistically excited about a winter storm forecasted for late afternoon thru tomorrow morning. TV 9 and 10 is saying our area could receive 12 to 15 inches. The National Weather Service is more conservative in saying 6 inches. Let’s hope the TV 9 and 10 folks are right this time. Quite often they are. Hope you are ready to ride because this could be the ride of the season. Have a great time…ride smart and keep to the right.

Thursday, March 1, 2012 – The snow gauge is showing 9 inches this morning but that doesn’t give a true picture. We received 4 or 5 inches Tuesday night/Wednesday morning followed by a rain/sleet mix. That packed our new snow considerably. Then last night we picked up a couple more inches of fluff of the hard pack. There should be great riding today but be wary of what is under the new snow. It could be ice.

Snow accumulation: 7 inches*
