Snow Accumulation: 17 inches*

The latest from Al Green our Trail Coordinator:

This past weekend was the NASF in Cadillac which was a great success and brought a lot of riders to the area. Along with the west end of the Lake being crowded all day Saturday, the trails also received heavy usage both Friday and Saturday. Trails held up very well on Friday, but Saturdays warm weather softened them and they got quite rough during the afternoon/early evening. We had the groomers on the trails Saturday, but you couldn’t tell an hour after they went by.

Starting late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, trail conditions started to improve and the trails are in very good shape as of now. Even the “In Town Trail” in the Cadillac West business district is smooth again. Cold temps are forecasted for the next 3 days with a chance of moderate snowfall, the trails will remain in great shape for the rest of the week. All of the trails are completely snow covered and have very little snirt showing. It does not get much better than this!!!!

*SNOW GUAGE: The snow accumulation is measured by the snow guage located in a protected area in Cadillac West about two miles west of the M55/M115 intersection.
