Michigan Trail Report

Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 01/10

Welcome to Winter Wonderland…. Lake Superior finally kicked in and we received amounts of new snow up to 18" more in some areas less on others.

GOGEBIC RANGE TRAIL AUTHORITY are out grooming reporting trails are good although there are areas where riding will be fair. Trails 2-8 and 11N are all in good condition but watch for corners may be icy. 11S is in good shape, watch for logging trucks, signs are posted where they are logging, 160 is good with the exception of the portion they are logging by the Wisconsin boarder this part is poor but passable.

Lake Gogebic Area groomers are out. Reporting with the new snow they received all trails are in good to very good conditions.

Watersmeet Area only received only about 6 new inches of snow they still are alittle shy with the snow. On the up side groomers are out – reporting the trails are poor to fair.

Our 800# is down so when calling you will not get a recording. Hopefully it will be fixed soon!!! Check back for updates and check out our webcams around the area at westernup.info ….
