Michigan Trail Report

Drummond Island Trail Report – Drummond Island Snow Report – 12/29

Due to warmer temperatures and settling Drummond’s snow count stands at 5 inches on the ground.

SNOWMOBILING FANS: The bays are building ice! The International Ice Bridge to Canada is scheduled to go in January 14, 2011. Keep watching here for updates!

The Snowmobile Trails are still officially closed. The groomers need more snow for a base. Rocks and boulders dot every trail at this time. Keep thinking snow!

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING FANS: The Rainbow X-Country Ski Trail has been groomed for the second time! All trails are OPEN for skiiers. Do watch for a few rough patches still here and there.

SNOWSHOEING FANS: The trails have been cleared on the Heritage Upper and Lower trails. All are open for snowshoeing. Be careful; some branches may have been missed after the trees were cut – please move them to the side if found. Enjoy the *official* start to the season!

Keep thinking SNOW!
