Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 12/08

Greetings Eager Sledders,

Not Yet!!!

There’s not much to talk about at the moment. The LES hit more to the West and Northwest and we didn’t get much out of that event, that’s the downside. The upside is that the lack of snow and continual freezing temps will get the ground frozen which is another key factor in getting the trails established.

That doesn’t mean that I’ve been doing nothing at all, Monday I went out to replace some directional signs (why anyone would want a sign that has an arrow and town name on it is beyond me, possibly X-mas tree decorations) and noticed the we had a number of ski hookers on that trail segment. These are ruts in the sand that will grab a ski in a heartbeat, not Nordic prostitutes. So to rid ourselves of the dreaded hookers I went out yesterday and eradicated same.

WEATHER:
So far this is the bright spot with something headed our way for the weekend, temps will remain below freezing and it looks as though the LES will kick in again the first of the week. LES can be anywhere so it’s not something to count on.

We’ll keep you posted when conditions warrant.

Until then,
Ride Often and Please Be Safe,
Keith, Sandy And The Girls
