Snowmobiling Update
Hello All,

Well, we got a LOT of snow. I even had a chance to get out and ride on Friday. The trails were pretty darn nice for early season and grooming has even begun in most parts of the area. By the end of the week all of ours trails should be grooming. Trails had plenty of snow and very few wet areas so it was nice riding. This is a great opportunity to get out and ride early season before the trails get busy.

Is it Monday already? Did ya get out this weekend? Decent weekend traffic and warmer temps melted the snow down a bit over the weekend, so the base is wearing thin in some areas, so you’ll find some snirty spots out there. Weatherman is calling for freezing rain this morning but temps turning colder, with snow later today, then 2-4" tomorrow. Still plenty of snow to ride, and hopefully we will get the snow as they forecast for the groomers to get back out to make it nice again! Remember the Groomers are volunteers out there so give them the right of way, slow down, show your appreciation with a thumbs up as you pass by! Grooming is done 3-4 days a week, by 3 groomers at different parts of the trail, every Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sat. nights, plus as needed. FYI, The next Snowmobile Safety class at the Snowbirds Clubhouse is coming up Saturday, January 9, 2010. Ages 12 and up. Class starts at 8am. It’s Free & Lunch provided.
