Cadillac Area Trail Report – Cadillac Trails – 12/30

Gosh…what a miserable day! Temperatures have been well above freezing all day and we’ve gone from a light mist in the air this morning to a steady rain this afternoon and evening. As you might expect, the groomers are parked and will stay parked until we get colder temperatures and more snow. We’ve tried to keep grooming long enough to get everything smoothed out after the heavy traffic this week so that when it freezes, hopefully the trails will freeze smooth and have a nice ice base. Cold temperatures are suppose to return on Saturday. Sure hope it bring some major snow with it. Happy New Year everyone!

Cadillac Area Trail Report – Cadillac Trails – 12/27

There are lots of sleds in the area and it’s nice to see so many families snowmobiling together. All the traffic, mild weather, and lack of snow is taking a toll on the trail system. Our trail gurus are rating the trails at fair to good right now. Sadly, we’ve been told to be expecting some above freezing temperatures and rain shortly . We’ll keep you posted on the grooming situation. At the present time, all our groomers are out there running two routes daily.

The snow processor has been removed from service. It appears it was missing several teeth from being operated too deep in marginal snow conditions. It is being repaired and will be put back in service when snow conditions improve.
